SELECTION PROCESS / RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The recruitment procedure for the advertised posts is designed to ensure fair and transparent selection. It will consist of the following three major stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
This is the first stage of the recruitment process. It will be an objective-type online examination designed to test the candidate’s general intelligence, reasoning ability, numerical aptitude, and relevant technical or job-specific knowledge (if applicable). The details of the syllabus, exam pattern, and duration will be published separately on the official RRB websites. - Document Verification (DV):
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for the Document Verification stage. During this stage, all original documents related to age, qualification, caste/category, disability (if any), and other relevant certificates will be verified. Failure to produce valid and original documents may lead to cancellation of candidature. - Medical Examination (ME):
After successful document verification, shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a medical fitness test conducted by the railway administration. The medical standards are set to ensure that the selected candidates are medically fit to perform duties in the relevant post. The standards vary depending on the nature of the job and will be clearly specified in the official notification.
Only candidates who successfully clear all three stages will be considered for final appointment, subject to availability of vacancies and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
